I love my mattress. I don’t necessarily need a mattress that is comfortable, but I just can’t stand the feeling of one that is too soft. Since I’m a student, I can’t afford the fancy mattresses that many of my family members have purchased. So, my mattress is my bed. The only difference I notice between my regular mattress and the mattress I’m considering buying is that the latter is more firm.
This is a problem because as I sleep I am subconsciously making it harder for me to fall asleep. This is compounded by the fact that I tend to wake up right after I wake up. This means that, once I have awoken, I can wake up and still get a good night’s sleep. That’s why I have been using a pillow to help me fall asleep and why I can wake up the next day feeling refreshed.
Personally, I prefer my mattress to be firm, but the firmness of mine isn’t really the point. The point is that with my mattress Im not sleeping too much and Im having a much better night’s sleep.
Thats why I can’t use a pillow, but the firmness of my mattress does help me find more.
The other issue is that pillows can be expensive. So if a pillow is too firm, then you might not be able to sleep with it. So you might have to use a firmer pillow.
Pillows are great if you can find one. But in that case, a pillow might not be what you need. A pillow that’s too close to your head might make it hard to sleep, for example.
The firmness of your mattress is just one of the many variables you have to take into account when choosing a pillow. But the important thing is that you have to sleep on your own bed, not on a foam queen or a memory foam bed, you should sleep on a firm mattress with a firm pillow.
